Here, she tells us what her plans and dreams for the future are and what keeps her healthy, motivated and inspired …

* Hi Nadine, could you tell us a little about yourself and what sparked your interest in the Health and Wellness industry?

Sure thing, I am a woman on a mission to create more beauty, love and heart centered living on this planet. I have always been really interested in health and wellbeing, from such a young age; as passed down by my mother. It has always been a huge part of my life. I always wanted to study nutrition and naturopathy, but the societal pressures of getting a ‘real job’ led me down a path quite opposite after school, business/commerce degree at university, and then further working in marketing/advertising agencies. It was only 3 years into working in this field, I broke away and followed my initial hearts calling, and returned to school to study Nutrition and Naturopathy. At the time I was experiencing eating disorders and the quest to heal this was a huge motivation to study the nutrition aspect of health. However my main focus was on the psychological link with eating and eating disorders, so this led me down a more alternate path of ‘spiritual nutrition’ as I began to explore … This led down a rabbit hole into body image, eating disorders and its link to sexuality. In particular suppression of sexuality and / or sexual abuse. So my path has led me into exploring this aspect of nutrition, which is more  soul nutrition – the root of all health in my humble opinion. If we have a well nourished soul and connection to self/spirit, we naturally have positive body image, eat nourishing foods, and practice self love in all we eat, live and love.

* What are you focusing on these days?

My focus these days is around healing feminine body image, and disconnection to the feminine spirit. This is manifesting in myself holding feminine embodiment sessions for clients, as well as birthing a Feminine Yoga Practice called ‘Shakti Yoga’ which is a 4 week journey through different aspects of the feminine, wild, lover, warrioress and mystic. From this I am creating a jewelry line to reflect each energy. I also am passionate about reconnecting women to the magic and mystery of their menstrual cycles, so I share a lot about menstrual blood rituals and I have created my own brand of Menstrual Cups and Ritual Challices, for women to redisover the mystery of the feminine. I also run 2 or 3 big retreats every year in Bali or India, all to do with awakening others to their true essence.

* What plans do you have for the future?

I don’t normally plan much, as I prefer to live in the present moment and let life move through me. I notice when I go into planning, it tends to confine me to what might be authentically wanting to create through me… So I like to more so set intentions for my life/business and let life unfold from there.

* Do you have any non-negotiables when it comes to your health and wellbeing?

I don’t usually eat meat. But in saying that, I practice intuitive eating, so if my body is telling me it needs some meat, I will honour that.

I also am really big on sleep, I cannot compromise my sleeping time. I always have to make sure I get 8 hours solid sleep and feel rested.

* What is your favourite food or healthy practice that you couldn’t live without?

My favourite food is Gado Gado, an Indonesian Dish made of blanched veggies, tempe, and peanut sauce. I will say that one because I am currently in Bali eating a lot of Gado Gado.

Healthy practice – I would say coffee enemas, I really love doing this practice 2-3 times per week, for a good cleanse. It keeps things flowing really well, literally and energetically in my life.

* Who or what inspires you?

What inspires me is others who are living their authentic truth. Who are ruthlessly following their heart and passions. Integrity is inspiring, and embodiment of what people are sharing, is very inspiring.

* Do you have a favourite Superfood or healthy ingredient?

Spirulina of course! Also cacao, I love cacao. And I have been adding Maca into my smoothies lately, which has been nice!

* Would you like to share one of your favourite ‘healthy’ recipes with us?

My favourite healthy recipe is the good old chocolate avocado mousse. I love just whipping this up and dipping strawberries in it! So yummy and sensual.

Here is my recipe:

2 avocados

2 tablespoons of cacao powder

1/2 cup coconut milk

1 tablespoon honey/agave

1 teaspoon cinnamon powder

1 tablespoon vegetarian chocolate protein powder

1 teaspoon maca powder

1 banana

Blend ingredients in a blender until creamy.
